[Formerly Annandale Disc Golf Course]
It is maintained by the Wright County Parks Department and is part of Clearwater/Pleasant Regional Park. The Course concete tee pads both long and short tees. Also across the road there is an indoor toilet open from May thru September, shelter for rent, water, picnic area, playground, swimming beach, public access, fishing pier, and paved trails. They do not allow glass bottles or beer.
Wow. Tim Schreder called me from the course to tell me how cool it was. Rick Rentz and I ended up there about an hour later. It's a great course! The fairway grass is cut wide and the tall grass is not nasty [Rick and I are both very sensitive to poison ivy and normally can't play new courses]. Everything Tim said was true... great tee pads... good distance... elevation changes... challenging fairways which are fair... etc. The course is amazing! All stumps were removed from the fairway, filled with dirt and grass planted. It's impossible to get lost on this 18 hole course; about 10 feet after each target is a path [road] to the next teepad. Click here for the NEW 18 hole map.
Tee Pads: Concrete - 2 per hole
Holes: 18 Mach 3 - Short: 6 Medium: 7 Long: 5
Annandale has 2 tee pads for most holes, short and long. I suggest playing one round long and one round short for an enjoyable 24 round. Hole #2 is harder from the short! From #2 short you have the option of hyzering around the tubes rather than shooting them. The fairways are quite fair [rewarding good shots while punishing bad shots].
Course Established: 2005
Directions:
From St. Cloud: From St. Cloud, take 94 to the Clearwater/Annandale exit, go right down hwy 24 for almost 12 miles, when you see a sign to turn left to stay on 24... DON'T turn... go straight instead about a quarter of a mile and you'll see a sign for the Pleasant Lake Beach... the course is across the street [they have a large dirt parking lot]. It's just under 20 miles from McStop.
